Gregor Petri is Advisor Lean IT and Cloud Computing and currently responsible for CA Technologies European go-to market strategy around Cloud Computing, Virtualization and Service Automation.
Earlier in his career, Gregor helped roll out Just in Time Manufacturing at Philips and worked as a management trainee in the office of the CIO at Akzo. In the following years he was instrumental in the introduction of several innovations like the first Object Oriented ERP application, the first mobile business applications and the first XML server into the European market. Gregor studied Business Economics and Information Technology in Rotterdam and Tilburg.
Gregor acted on behalf of CA Technologies as co-founder of the Dutch Web-Services Organization, is a former board member of the XML Users Group Holland and of Geel-Zwart field hockey, where he still plays competition. Currently he is launching the Cloud Academy (www.thecloudacademy.com). He wrote the cloud primer “Shedding Light on Cloud Computing”, is a contributing author to the Dutch “Over Cloud Computing” book, a regular columnist at ITSM Portal and contributor to Computable and IT Executive Magazine.
