Steve was born and bred in Stratford-upon-Avon and upon leaving school he joined the Royal Navy and served for 4 years around the globe in a variety of roles. After leaving the Navy he started his IT career in 1982 through a Government sponsored training scheme (TOPS) with ICL in COBOL Programming.

He spent the 80’s as a senior contract IT consultant fulfilling assignments within the Water and Defence Industries across the broad range of ICL products, before ending up at the CEGB during the privatisation programs that led to PowerGen and National Power.
It was whilst at PowerGen that Steve and 2 colleagues founded Trinity to provide consultancy services to the power generation industry.

The company started by rewriting the real time COBOL ICL based Power Station maintenance management system(KISMET) onto what was then Sybase on Windows NT(soon to become Microsoft SQL server), with over 1000 users across 10 sites the distributed system was an early validation of Microsoft WindowsNT as a platform for enterprise computing.

Using the experience the company quickly established itself as a key Microsoft partner through the 90’s as a PC and Networking systems Integrator with healthy organic growth.
In 2004 and 2005 the acquisitions of Persesus Computing Services and The Computing Practice brought depth and experience to the Datacentre activities and added MS CRM and MS Dynamics Nav to its portfolio of services.

Today the company provides a broad range of IT support and consulting services across the mid market with a £26m turnover, 130 clients and over 250 employees. Trinity has continued to deliver year on year to its growing client base to provide true business led IT solutions.
In January 2006 Steve took over as CEO and in September 2007 via an MBO his 2 co-founders both achieved long held ambitions to retire to Spain.
