Mr Karl Deacon Profile

Karl is Vice President &  Chief Technology Officer for Outsourcing UK. He  works with clients to share Capgemini thought leadership and proposition innovative solutions in support of client strategies.

Karl designs, negotiates and delivers transformation programmes, strategy, architecture and innovative solutions for some of our largest Clients. He leads a highly skilled team helping  clients develop strategic roadmaps and transformation programmes; with a focus on harnessing innovation.

A practiced multi-function International IT leader, Karl held senior IT positions for blue-chip companies prior to joining Capgemini.  He has both the depth & breadth of customer-facing support & consulting, operations & engineering, coupled with program delivery expertise enabling him to deliver programs from strategy through to operations.With  an in-depth knowledge of the IT industry, he advises clients on embracing new technologies to achieve step-change business performance and delivers major transformational services with our strategic clients.

Frequently quoted in the press, Karl is recognised as a thought leader in the industry. He is an active participant in a variety of industry debating forums , executive director for Capgemini research centre at University of Reading and a member of CIO-Connect Advisory Board. Karl is also an non-Executive Director with a leading IT industry software & solutions provider.
