have worked at TNT for nearly 20 years. In that time I have working in a number of specific areas within IT, but in the majority my time has been spent within the Telecommunications department. I am now the Senior Network Architect within the Planning and Design team and in general my role is to discover and evaluate new technologies or services that could be of benefit to the TNT Business, with the main emphasis on enabling and enhancing the performance of key Business applications, whilst also ensuring that from a technology perspective TNT are at the cutting edge. During my time I have been heavily involved in the evolution of the TNT Global network, from the migration from X25 to IP, Frame Relay/ATM to MPLS, Traditional Voice communications to IP Telephony, the enablement of IPAM services and the evolution of Web applications and there use within TNT. The growth and use of Web applications within the TNT Business has involved me heavily in the deployment of solutions that enable and enhance the performance of Web applications for both the Internal and External customer base. My main interests outside TNT are mainly around my family life and in particular my children who are heavily involved in playing tennis to a standard that I will never achieve myself, other than that I enjoy playing and watching most sports, in particular Golf.
