Jim Mortleman, Editor, 360° IT Blog
Jim is a journalist, editor, commentator and consultant with almost two decades' experience researching and covering developments in information technology and their implications for business and society. Freelance for the past 10 years, he has written news, features, comment and analysis for numerous titles and online services including The Guardian, Computer Weekly, Computing and Silicon.com. For the past six years he has combined journalism with content development, business writing and blogging for private clients such as IT leaders' forum CIO Connect, executive IT recruitment firm La Fosse Associates, Steria, Fujitsu and Computacenter. Jim is passionate about the potential of new technology and the Internet to transform organisations and society, but ever mindful of the need to cut through industry hype, business jargon and blinkered techno-scepticism. He has used and contributed to the web since its inception, been an active Twitter user (@jimjar) since May 2007 and his latest blog "The New Game" explores how collaboration, community and creativity are shaking up traditional organisational models. In his spare time Jim writes and performs comic verse and songs. He''s also a keen defender of online freedom. He lives in London with his wife, two young children and three cats.
