Seminar Details
Along with an effective security strategy, another key component of any successful IT infrastructure is successful communications - be that either in person, or via communications technologies such as telephone, email and videoconferencing for example. Consolidating your communications technologies to create a unified system can potentially help reduce costs - you can reduce your travel costs across the business as a whole by switching to use videoconferencing for example, which in turn reduces the reliance on email, which can often be open to misinterpretation and misunderstanding.
However, does a unified communications strategy really bring the business tangible benefits, meriting the cost of investment, or is it simply 'nice to have'?
The panellists on this session will seek to answer this and other key questions in the deliberation of a unified communications network, including:
- Do organisations need a unified communications system
- What are the benefits to business?
- How best to manage multiple social dimensions within the existing IT infrastructure?
- Is the combination of social media within a unified communications network the way forward
- Are we potentially looking at UC 2.0?
- How can you demonstrate ROI when considering a unified communications strategy?
- What are the core security concerns to consider when contemplating unifying your communications network?
- What are the general risks and pitfalls of adopting a unified approach?
- Does your organisation's culture fit with the adoption of unified communications
- Does a 'travel' mentality still exist?
- What legal compliance issues does a globalised unified communications system pose to an organisation?
